I had a dream i was being chased by a demon. In this dream I ran into a woman’s house and she brought me to the basement where I was inside of a confession booth that belonged to a priest during this i prayed many times and kept my eyes closed. But the demon opened the box and prayed hot water on me repeatedly and at the end threw hot pots on my back so that i screamed in agony until at the end i realized it was a dream.
Dreams involving being chased often symbolize feelings of anxiety, fear, or pressure in your waking life. In your case, the demon may represent an aspect of yourself or a situation that you perceive as threatening or overwhelming. It could symbolize inner turmoil, unresolved issues, or feelings of guilt or shame that you might be grappling with.
The act of seeking refuge in a woman's house and entering a confession booth suggests a desire for safety, guidance, or a need to confront and confess some part of yourself or your experiences. Confession booths are places of reflection, remorse, and seeking forgiveness, so this portion of the dream may indicate that you are looking for redemption or relief from whatever is pursuing you in life.
The hot water and pots represent intense emotional or psychological pain. Their presence could symbolize feelings of being scalded by your own thoughts or fears, or perhaps a sense of punishment for perceived wrongdoings. The agony you felt in the dream could reflect suppressed feelings or stress that have become too much to bear.
Finally, realizing it was a dream at the end suggests a newfound awareness or control over your fears. This could imply that, while you may be experiencing distressing emotions in your waking life, you possess the ability to confront those feelings and recognize them as temporary.
Overall, this dream may be encouraging you to confront something in your life that you have been avoiding or to seek help in addressing your fears and emotional pain. Consider reflecting on what the demon represents for you and what steps you can take to work through those feelings in your waking life.
